1. Purpose of this Consent

This document explains the User’s authorization for secure payment-card tokenization, storage of a payment-method token by the authorized payment service provider, and recurring charges for a Quantalis Subscription.

This Consent must be presented together with the material Subscription terms before the User confirms card tokenization or recurring billing. Where applicable law requires a separate affirmative action, acceptance of general Terms alone does not replace that action.

2. Secure Card Entry and Tokenization

Payment-card details are entered and processed in the secure environment of an authorized payment service provider. SALAZAR & Co. d.o.o. does not store the User’s full payment-card number or CVV on its own systems.

The payment service provider may create and store a secure token or similar payment-method identifier. A token is a technical identifier used to support future authorized charges without requiring the User to re-enter the full card number for each billing period.

The Company receives and stores only the limited payment-related information made available by the payment provider and reasonably necessary for Subscription management, payment reconciliation, fraud prevention, free-trial protection and legal compliance.

3. Free-Trial Verification

Where the User activates a free trial, no Quantalis Subscription fee is charged during the free-trial period. The User authorizes the payment service provider to verify the payment method and create the payment token needed for future recurring billing.

The payment provider or card issuer may perform a zero-value verification or another non-settled verification permitted by its technical rules. Any temporary issuer-side display or hold is not a Quantalis Subscription charge.

The standard promotional free trial is seven (7) days unless a different duration is clearly displayed before activation.

4. Authorization for Recurring Charges

By affirmatively accepting the recurring payment authorization during checkout, the User authorizes SALAZAR & Co. d.o.o. and its authorized payment service provider to charge the selected payment method automatically for the selected Quantalis Subscription until the Subscription is cancelled.

Before authorization, the User is shown the selected product, price, transaction currency, billing frequency, free-trial period where applicable, first billing date and cancellation method. Those displayed and accepted terms define the recurring payment authorization.

If a free trial applies, the first paid recurring charge is initiated on the first billing date shown to the User unless the Subscription is cancelled before that date.

No recurring charge may be initiated merely because a User is found ineligible for another free trial. A paid Subscription must be separately confirmed by the User.

5. Authentication and Recurring Transaction Processing

The initial card verification, payment-method setup or first payment may require 3D Secure, strong customer authentication or another security step depending on the card issuer, payment provider, card scheme and applicable law.

After the recurring arrangement has been validly authorized, later charges may be processed as recurring or merchant-initiated transactions where supported by the payment provider, acquiring bank, card scheme and applicable law.

6. Free-Trial Anti-Abuse and Limited Payment Identifiers

To enforce the one-free-trial limitation and prevent misuse, the Company may use limited identifiers returned by the payment provider, such as a payment token, card fingerprint, masked card information, card brand, expiry information where available or similar technical identifiers, together with account, email or mobile-phone information.

These identifiers are used only for legitimate purposes such as Subscription integrity, fraud prevention, free-trial limitation, billing management, payment reconciliation, security and protection of legal rights, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

7. Evidence of Authorization

The Company may retain evidence of the User’s recurring payment authorization, including the User or account identifier, date and time, selected product, price, currency, billing frequency, first billing date, consent status, payment token reference and related transaction identifiers, for as long as reasonably necessary or required by applicable law.

Where applicable law imposes a specific minimum retention period for proof of automatic-renewal consent, the Company will retain the required evidence for that period.

8. Failed Payments and Retries

If a recurring payment fails or is declined, the Company or payment service provider may retry the payment where permitted by applicable law and payment rules.

Access may be suspended or restricted after any notice required by applicable law if no valid payment method is available or if an amount lawfully due cannot be collected.

9. Cancellation and End of Future Recurring Charges

The User may cancel the Subscription through the cancellation function made available by the Company or through another cancellation method provided in accordance with applicable law.

Cancellation stops future recurring Subscription charges. If a free trial is cancelled before the first billing date, no recurring Subscription fee will be charged.

Cancellation does not retroactively reverse a charge already validly completed for a current billing period, except where a refund, statutory withdrawal right, charge reversal or other remedy applies under mandatory law.

If the User requests removal of the payment method or withdrawal of future card-on-file authorization, the Subscription may be cancelled or suspended if no valid payment method remains available.

10. Statutory Withdrawal Rights

Subscription cancellation and statutory withdrawal are separate rights. Where mandatory consumer law grants a statutory right to withdraw from a distance service contract, that right is governed by the Terms and Conditions of Use and applicable law.

A request for the Service to begin during a statutory withdrawal period does not, by itself, automatically eliminate a withdrawal right. Any refund or proportionate amount for Service already provided is handled in accordance with mandatory law.

11. Payment Provider and Privacy

Payment service providers process payment transaction data under their own legal, security and privacy obligations. Their role may differ depending on the specific payment function.

The Company’s processing of payment-related identifiers and consent records is described in the Quantalis Privacy Policy. Full card details are not stored by SALAZAR & Co. d.o.o. on its own systems.

12. Mandatory Consumer and Payment Rights

Nothing in this Consent excludes, limits or waives a Consumer right, payment-dispute right or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited or waived. Additional payment, recurring-billing or automatic-renewal requirements apply where mandatory law in the User’s jurisdiction requires them.
